Voters overwhelmingly pass Measure M
On February 5, 2008, “Super Tuesday,” over 75% of voters said “Yes” to providing quality reading, math, writing and science instruction in the Ravenswood City School District. Measure M renews a yearly $98 parcel tax, first passed in 2004, for teacher salaries and other academic programs. The turn-out marks a large show of support for the students and teachers in Ravenswood; the measure only needed two-thirds of the vote to pass. With the parcel tax, Ravenswood can continue to offer competitive salaries to retain and attract quality teachers for our students.
